Aims and Scope

The bi-quarterly scientific journal of "Human Rights and Citizenship" covers an exceptionally broad spectrum of human rights issues. In addition to these general areas, the journal publishes articles and reports on the human rights aspects, especially about the Islamic Approach to Human and Citizenship Rights. To encourage debate, the editors publish Forum pieces and discussion papers from authoritative writers in the field.

The journal is essential reading for academics and students of Islamic, Comparative, and international and Domestic law, officers in relevant NGOs, lawyers, politicians and civil servants, human rights activists, and the interested general public.

This publication receives scientific articles in two sections according to the guidelines:

  1. Analytical section
  2. Basics and requirements of human and citizenship rights, legitimate freedoms, and public rights;
  3. The requirements and principles of Educating citizenship rights and legitimate freedoms: the issue of individuals and public institutions;
  4. Mechanisms and platforms for guaranteeing human rights, citizenship, and public rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran based on the Theodemocracy model;
  5. Explanation of Islamic human rights teachings.
  6. Practical Section
  7. Analytical-critical review of international documents and laws, judgments of judicial authorities, and review of national and international cases;
  8. Comparative study of human rights in Islamic and international human rights documents;
  9. Examining the role of regional and international institutions in promoting and maintaining human rights.
